For ages mankind is researching the elusive elixir for hair re-growth. There are claims for diverse and intriguing solution for balding like snake oil, herbal oils, standing on the head, rubbing nails and using ivory, but the truth is sadly different!
Two natural DHT (Dihydrotestoteron) blocker have been discovered which dramatically slow down the progress of Male Pattern Thinning by acting as a natural DHT blocker which is the hormone responsible for baldness.
A. Green tea?
B. Saw palmetto
?
Saw palmetto is a berry seed which grows in parts of North America and Australia. Trichologist world over have seen dramatic results with the use of green tea and saw palmetto for baldness. Green tea also acts as a great antioxidant, saw palmetto is also used for prostrate and also as a aphrodisiac by Red Indians.

But how can one get his/her hair back?
Baldness Treatment options
For a long time, artificial hair in the form of wigs was the only way a person could resort to as a way to hide his baldness. Even history documents the use of wigs. In fact, Hannibal, the great even wore one into the battlefield as early as 200 BC. However, men and women who might have chosen to cover their hair loss with a wig, toupee, hair extension or even weaving did not get much relief as the efforts were give away and could be spotted from far. So the psychological strains of balding remained.
However things have really changed nowadays and there are three options
?
?
Surgical camouflage
Previously multiple graphs were transplanted which made the hair look like rice paddy fields but now as there are new developments single follicular grafts are transplanted giving a completely natural look which doesn?t look like rice paddy fields. This method uses the hair on the back of the head that is genetically programmed not to fall. This hair is transplanted to the front of the head, using approximately 2000 - 2500 follicles at one time. The follicles are placed 1.5 - 2 mm apart in an inter-digitating break pattern; with the direction determined by the patient's hairstyle. Since the procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, the patient can choose to stay overnight at the hospital or go home. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication is advised for 5 days after the surgery. Within 3 - 4 months, hair growth is manifested in the follicles. [Surgical camouflage can provide coverage but its limitations are that it can not give thickness as a person?s own hair is used.]

Non surgical camouflage?
Earlier wigs were available as a non surgical camouflage which looked like a birds nest and could be spotted from a mile away. Then came hair weaving which used a net like base, however this caused discomfort and gave you away, if the hair were to flip flop the net could be seen. The latest new non surgical camouflage technique is called non surgical hair implant and integration. ?Which has a derma base which is just like your second skin. It is an invisible, skin-toned film that fits just around your hairline. It is perfectly ventilated, light and transparent. It helps in making your hairline look softer and more natural. And the hair which is called Revolution hair is high quality synthetic hair, which is heat, chemical and water-resistant.
?
It is the perfect solution for incurable baldness, alopecia and other hair loss conditions. Wigs are too obvious and embarrassing; surgery can't give you volume that you are looking for, while scalp medications need to be used everyday for the rest of your life for effects to be seen
?
?
Temporary camouflage?
The treatment is just right if you have thinning hair but want it to look full and luxuriant for special occasions. It is a complex of tiny micro fibre hair that blends in with your hair and scalp. Applied by sprinkling it over your thinning area, it electro statically bonds to your own hair, giving it the appearance of fullness. It stays in place until you shampoo it out.

Baldness today is no longer untreatable. The key lies in early detection and then prevention and control. Which can postpone the inevitable for many years to come. Thereby giving you the confidence to take on the world. Your Trichologist is the best person to detect the 7 stages of baldness.
