The Shuttle XPC H7 5820S mini PC is a new small form factor professional class workstation built around the new Matrox M-Series professional graphics card. With each M-series graphics card, the H7 5820S can support eight DisplayPort or single-link DVI monitor. The H7 5820S can support up to two M-Series graphics cards for a total of 16 monitors. Multi-monitor systems are useful in several corporate applications, including security monitoring, digital signage, process control, manufacturing, financial, and other professional environments.
The H7 5820S uses Shuttle's signature Small Form Factor (SFF) chassis which gives you a full featured professional workstation in a box only 7.5 inches tall. End users can equip the system with up to a six-core Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB of DDR3 memory, and a variety of monitor combinations. Shuttle will pack in one or two M9128 dual monitor, M9138 triple monitor, M9140/m9148 quad monitor or M9188 octal board. A sixteen-monitor setup will allow you to live out your world domination fantasies in the comfort of your home office.
Matrox is a venerable name in the computer graphics industry, and though it no longer has the name recognition of a company like Nvidia or ATI/AMD, plenty of existing video editing workstations continue to use Matrox graphics cards. The Matrox M9188 graphics card is the first PCI Express x16 graphics card with support for eight simultaneous monitors in mirroring, multiple, and shared desktop applications. The M9188 has 2GB of memory to drive all those video streams. The card will support 2,560 by 1,600 resolution on DisplayPort monitors and 1,920 by 1,200 on single-link DVI monitors.
The Matrox H7 5820S series of workstation PCs is available now, pricing is to be determined based on configuration. The H7 5820S comes with a 24 month (2-year) pick up and return service warranty.
