Muscle Building : Pump Up Your Chest With Chest Home Workouts

Building chest muscles can boost your confidence and make you look better than ever before. Building muscles specifically around the chest area can help you burn far more calories. Working out your upper body involves the use of arms, neck, and the core which burns calories. There are smaller muscle groups that can get neglected, but when you do an upper body workout you exercise these smaller muscle groups as well.


Following are few exercises which are easy and can be done to derive best results:-

Preparation?

? Kneel on the floor, on a mat or other padded surface if necessary.?

? Place the hands on the floor, keeping the arms fully extended and the fingertips facing down.?

? Adjust body positioning so that the chest and shoulders are aligned over the floor.?

? Tuck the toes under and straighten the legs so that the body is in an extended plank position.?


Movement?

? Slowly flex the elbows, lowering the chest toward the floor.?

? Allow the elbows to open to the sides so that the shoulders move through horizontal abduction.?

? Maintain an aligned position from the ankles through the ears.?

? Pause at the bottom of the movement, then slowly extend the elbows and press back up to the starting position.?

? Perform 8-20 repetitions to fatigue, adjusting the reps based on overall workout time and goals

Movement

? Begin in a prone position with the arms straight under the shoulders.?

? Keep the chin tucked.?

? It is imperative that the hips rotate back and forth during this exercise (it is recommended that the hips do not rotate more that 10? however).?

Sun salutation commonly know as Surya Namaskar can be done by anyone and can do wonders for every part of the body- from head to toe if practiced daily. ?It is a flowing series of 12 poses which help improve strength and flexibility of the muscles and spinal column. This pose also warms up the body and tones the abdominal muscles.
