Seventeen outstanding local professionals are vying for the title of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society?s 2013 Atlanta Man & Woman of the Year.? In the Man & Woman of the Year campaign, candidates compete in honor of the 2013 Boy and Girl of the Year, Watson and Mya, who are local young?blood cancer survivors. The titles are awarded to the man and woman who raise the most funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in a ten-week period which this year the grand total is expected to exceed $600,000. The winners are announced at a Grand Finale Gala taking place this Saturday, June 8th at the Loews Atlanta Hotel in Midtown?and featuring a silent auction, cocktail reception, dinner and entertainment. Vikki Locke and Kelly Stevens of the B98.5FM Morning Show will present as master of ceremonies.
